Absolutely "news" is the important thing in bringing things together, but it's the price & volume occurring BEFORE the news and how the stock responds AFTER the news....I conclude that the news for $AVXL is good and sustaining.
for example: what happens when the "news" is great and the stock goes down....$VKTX as an example...time to review
for example: how about the "bad news".....$SAVA after Remi and wife resigned.....stock went up...people assumed the CEO & wife were doing something bad....time to check the stock's prior low.
You are left with the mystery of how good is the news and trying to gain a realistic price target! Naturally, you can use various pricing models and "history" to do this....or, try to analyze with another method used since the 17th century....technical analysis
