tell those women bleeding out in the parking lots about the pill -- and, though it's being kept real quiet -- there is an abortion pill being made to sell over the counter for the women late on their monthlies

You are STILL not GETTING IT. Those women bleeding out wanted the the potential children they were carrying. But they miscarried, most fairly late in their pregnancies. Since late term abortions were illegal in these cases, and since a miscarriage IS a spontaneous abortion, they did not get what they needed, which was a quick D&C. Instead, they got no treatment. Some got sepsis. Others aren't sure they'll ever be able to get pregnant again.

And the people who voted for these evil laws were in considerable part MEN LIKE YOU, so ignorant they don't even know how any of this works. Did you see the moron in Congress who suggested that problematic pregnancies could be diagnosed by one of those tiny cameras that are used for colonoscopies? The cretin was unaware women don't poop babies out of their rectums.

As to your personal history, mine is not dissimilar. I was born before the Pill existed. People began to use it in the early 60s. But it was largely unavailable to teenage girls. A lot of men don't like to use condoms. When I was in high school, a girl in the class ahead of me "got in trouble." She and her boyfriend were really in love--I wonder how that turned out a few decades later--and both had planned on college.

But she was PREGNANT!! So she had to be thrown out of high school. That's how they did it back then. Needless to say, the boy did NOT get the boot.

Roe v Wade decriminalized abortion, and made it safe and easy. That was in 1973; I'd been out of college for three years. I never needed an abortion--even though contraception does sometimes fail, despite the best intentions of the couple using it--and I was glad of that. But I didn't have to worry about what might happen if I were to get knocked up.

Like you know what it is like for a woman. As a child I still remember the news of another young girl becoming pregnant, being taken to lower Canal Street and being butchered . You lived in rural Montana, you didn't see anything because you chose not to see.

I hate to inform you but they certainly did have abortions back then. It was just illegal and also many women tried it themselves and died.
