Ram, I agree. We have tried hard over the past several years to eliminate as much "modern pollution" (chemicals, dyes, fragrances, etc.). But then you realize that there is almost no way to avoid all of it. I watched a short documentary about microplastics a few weeks ago (maybe someone on here shared it?), and it was pretty alarming. They are finding microplastics in people's lungs, brains, liver, etc. The biggest contributor to microplastics? The rubber shearing off of car tires on roadways and making its way into the ecosystem - both the ocean/rivers and farmland.
I think the other issue is sedentary lifestyles (compared to 120 years ago) and volume of food consumed. Even 50-60 years ago people were generally much thinner. Obesity contributes to a LOT of ailments.
