Kiwi, as JD Vance said to Martha Raddich over the weekend, " do you hear yourself and what you are asking ?" I hope you're kidding.

What evidence do you have that the benefits of 2 gms of Vascepa daily outweigh the risks .....for those with a history of Afib

Unless I'm mistaken, there was this double blinded placebo controlled study called REDUCE-IT and with over 5000 patients in the study, the control group was slightly different than the study group with regards to Afib.... :-)

Hello Kiwi, I have no evidence, but have had an omega 3 balance test and I am happy with the elevation. The risks of A-fib were so little and in my opinion, my
A-fib was due to a magnesium deficiency. Maybe "fish oil" exacerbates a low magnesium, who knows. I take Vascepa because I think it's beneficial due to my lack of omega 3 consumption, not necessarily for CVD prevention. In my opinion, the magnesium I take is far superior to a low to moderate dose statin, using LDL as a marker. HDL didn't improve noticeably, or even Trigs.... HDL runs in the mid 50's and Trigs run about 48 or so. HDL ran about 70 when I Was in my 30's and the TG's have always been pretty low.
