#429548 RE: JRoon71 #429535

JRoon....... there is truth to what you say however the key is in the consumption of the carbohydrates........... if the liver is working properly.... the best diet is high fat meats....... your liver will generate ketones for energy by converting the fat you eat and/or the fat you have. Carbohydrates convert to sugar in the body...... the body loves that as a fuel source and signals a constant craving for it but as you'll note, most overweight people aren't very active so their pancreas is constantly trying to produce insulin to process the sugar..... they can't process enough of it and are too sedentary to burn it, that excess becomes more fat and then it's only a matter of time before they become insulin resistant with diabetes. It's sad really. So if you follow the recommended nutritional guidelines, they want you to consume something like 60% carbs, 30% protein, and 10% fat. People need to wake up, look around, and connect the obvious dots.... the obesity rates are the highest ever and spreading to our children......you are being told to consume a daily diet containing 60% of something the body doesn't even need. A non-essential macro nutrient.
