No. Nobody's gonna pull the plug on Social Security for a hurricane. Milton is bad, but we have the money to pay for it. Or at least we will if Maga Mike would take the trouble to call Congress back to DC to vote for emergency funding.

And if you didn't see it, today Biden called out Trump, MTG and others for lying. Even Fox seems to have realized it needed to stop.

And if you aren't watching TV, it made landfall about half an hour ago. But it's moving fast, and will apparently be gone by tomorrow morning.

As the storms get worse due to climate change Congress will have to come up with the equivalent of TRIA. As it is now homeowners insurance and commercial insurance is un-affordable in FL and everyone thought Asheville NC was a climate friendly place to live.
