The article was to show that the whole world including China is onto silicon photonics. The future is photonics. Moving from electronics to photonics is a transformation journey. First step integration of both. Lightwave is chosen
by the industry as most innovative integration platform at ECOC. China’s serious entry in the field of photonics is a call for action for the semi conductor ( electronics) industry everywhere in the world.

According to chatgpt they have a collaboration since 2021. I was just wondering if there was any info on a correlation between the 2 and it seems it does. Strange to say the least...

JFS Laboratories, a semiconductor research center based in Wuhan, China, and Lightwave Logic, a U.S. company specializing in electro-optic polymer technology, have been mentioned in relation to each other in recent discussions. JFS Laboratories is working on silicon photonics and developing technologies related to lithium niobate wafers, a material that was considered outdated for some of Lightwave Logic's newer technologies. There is speculation about JFS collaborating with Lightwave Logic, though the specifics of this collaboration are not officially detailed.

However, the relationship between JFS Labs and Lightwave Logic appears complex, as there have been claims that JFS may be focusing on technology that was once considered obsolete by Lightwave's standards. Additionally, JFS is believed to be operating in the Chinese market with some secrecy surrounding its work. While there are connections drawn between the two companies, the nature of their collaboration, if any, remains somewhat unclear at this point.
