The following was posted on the VCSY website several years ago:
"Since each of the Microsoft, LG, Samsung, and Interwoven settlements were for a “Fully Paid-Up License” as described in our SEC filings, no additional compensation or royalties will be due from any of these parties to VCSY. In connection with these settlements, each party received a license for the ‘744 Patent and its successor patents, which include the ‘629 Patent and any continuation patents like the ‘780 Patent. There are no ongoing business relationships between VCSY and these companies, except in the ordinary course of business. VCSY is a customer of some products from those companies."
These patents have nothing to do with AI. Your comment about Microsoft plunging into OpenAI smacks of the old garbage that used to be pedaled about HP and Autonomy. It's the same crap about "appearing weak when you're strong." How many years have to pass with nothing before people will stop believing this crap? 25 years? 30 years?
It doesn't matter anymore. The stock can't be traded and is worthless. Microsoft has a fully-paid license. Their license was for 744, 629, and 780. The statement clearly states the license they paid for covers those continuation patents. VCSY will not get another cent from Microsoft.
