The day that news was released AVXL closed at $9.68. So it's almost been cut in half since his hiring. Lot of good that did.

FDA. During his tenure at the agency, Dr. Jin has contributed extensively to statistical review issues and trial designs surrounding the regulatory approval of drugs for the treatment of neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, migraine, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis, as well as rare diseases, such as ALS and DMD.

Abew et all something stood out to me from your repost of Dr. Kun Jin’s experience. What easier way to prove a drug is working than to relieve the pain and number of episodes of migraine headaches. Very similiar to seizure reductions as well even though it could cure siezures in Rett Syndrome girls and still not be validated for approval.

Question, are migraines considered to be under the category of “rare diseases”? This might tap into CTE, and other head pain caused by trauma.

Abew, Dr. Jin was a good addition. He also isn't the person who designs the trials. Remember that he was at the company during the Rett juvenile trial that was underpowered by over 50%. He can be a huge asset in many ways but will the company use him to design trial protocols and trials? Maybe. Let's hope he is a part of the team at any rate.

We will only know if Anavex has learned their lesson when we see another trial launch. Dr. Missling's boast that he is very conservative with Anavex monies makes me think that maybe they aren't learning because the only way to ensure success is to run larger and more expensive trials. I hope Dr. Missling surprises me and everyone else by running properly powered trials in the future.
