Possibly, yes. But time is a factor, there's not much of a longevity amongst judges, allowing shareholders to sue long after the fact of a known, past fraud. An attorney to be successful in a case like this, should file ASAP, so that a litigated award will hold firm against the new company. A judge and a plaintiff's lawyer can always set the rewarded amount to when the profits come in at a later date.
