ActiBand received BIEL's first FDA Clearence for Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) Edema (swelling).

There was a small market for this surgery in the early 2000s. BIEL saw that they needed to move into areas with higher patient counts . BIEL started working on FDA Pain Relief Indications which have a much larger number of applications. This led them to the name change 'Actipatch', FDA Reclassification, a long process, OTC Clearance, and their current Clearance for Musculoskeletal Pain. This Clearence includes use on every muscle, bone, tendon and ligament in the body.
