The examples of Japan and Vietnam speak to my point that Israel is not necessarily creating a new generation of Hamas terrorists by what it’s doing in this war.

The US didn’t create a new generation of kamikaze pilots by dropping the bombs, etc

We don’t know how Palestinians will react. There may be more terrorists created but that’s not a given, as some here claim, it’s just as likely they will become major trading partners with Israel

It doesn't mean "the trauma of war is easily forgotten."


I spent the summer of 1969 in Germany, doing a summer job. I got to know a number of twentysomething Germans. To my astonishment, all of them firmly believed West and East Germany, then separate countries would one day be reunited. I thought that was crazy.

But they were right.
