I'm not sure Barron's is right about this. My interpretation is that the "shared decision" scenario remains in effect for adults age 50-64 who do not have a major heath issue; if my interpretation is correct, then ACIP did not narrow vaccination eligibility for age 50-64, but rather strengthened the recommendation for a subset of this age group (those who fall in the third bullet point of #msg-174663288).
I did not listen to the ACIP hearing, so my interpretation might be wrong.
mufaso I mentioned the terrible reaction to the RSV vaccination I received in 2023, but I think my personal experience was not well received here!
I blame myself for believing that the ads on tv were helpful, with my many medical problems and age I should have waited for some time to be sure that this would be a good thing; in my case, it was not.
