I'm not sure Barron's is right about this. My interpretation is that the "shared decision" scenario remains in effect for adults age 50-64 who do not have a major heath issue; if my interpretation is correct, then ACIP did not narrow vaccination eligibility for age 50-64, but rather strengthened the recommendation for a subset of this age group (those who fall in the third bullet point of #msg-174663288).
I did not listen to the ACIP hearing, so my interpretation might be wrong.
