I hear you scorpio, and it must be pretty bad to have that happen in your hometown paper. Honestly, it really must and I would probably be angry too.
But then again, it would never have happened because I would have put out the A/F's. Simple to me, A/F's come out, nobody even blinks at a WS article then.
I think in all fairness to Mr. Vucicevich, the article at least was set to go, so you know the 'professionals' online would have been posting their ridicule irregardless of whatever he might have put up before the opening of trade that morning.
If like I suggest, what he had in hand to print wasn't still compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley rules for an Edgarized filing, the same teams of 'professionals' would have camped out spinning the most horrific of attacks to deligitimize their worth.
He had financials. They just weren't ready still. They're just that complex. Attorneys asked him to just hold off all of this until they're air-tight and not subject to 'idle rumor mongering and speculation'
They do have a named CFO in place though. They just haven't PR'd it. Something about wanting to unload all the good news around the 23rd so as to mazimize the GFYM and catch 'shorty' sound asleep. Shhhhhhh.
