Those who loaned out their shares lose the right to vote whereas those who bought from the legal short (who borrowed those shares) do get to vote.AFAIK when you loan out share you still keep the right to vote



Illegal short shares never borrow shares they short... and IMO they may never cover if the transaction disappears along with any records like the mysterious TDA fire a few years back before the sale closed... So cover ones with good profit and don't cover or close out the trade on ones you owe money on.... did someone say the market is rigged???
