JRoon, Basic math appears too have held in the court of appeals yesterday.
Do you actually believe that Amarin and it's very expensive team of lawyers have decided to sue Hikma for no reason? If there was not going to be a financial benefit, from a positive outcome in this suit, Amarin wouldn't have filled it.
You are correct that removing a single generic company from the market accomplishes nothing. What then is the purpose of the suit?
The lawyer representing Hikma got one thing right yesterday. (My opinion) Allowing this case to proceed to trial, has the potential to dramatically effect section 8 carve outs. (Also my opinion).

Suppose Hikma had the correct indication on the Label, Trigs only, and a doctor prescibed generic V to a CVD patient.
If the patient then had a heart attack, wouldn't the doctor be liable for malpractice? Would this fear keep the docs precribing V?
