With production ramping up, there is still the potential for a surplus of silkworms and silk moths. However, there is a new, sweeping trend that just so happens to align perfectly with this approach.

“The world seems to be moving towards eating bugs,” Thompson suggested.

With many claiming insects are the protein of the future, silkworms could very well end up being the sustainable snack of the future, leaving Kraig Biocraft Laboratories’ silk production practically byproduct-free.

IN RESPONSE TO

I don’t believe this pr bodes well for the pps. Not one mention of Vietnam or
what has been going on over there.

I believe most were hoping for an update and this pr gives the impression Kim may be pivoting away from spider silk itself.

LMAO!!! That's the most "spider-silk" laden PR I think I've ever read from KBLB. It was mentioned about 15 freaking times, yet, you say:

...this pr gives the impression Kim may be pivoting away from spider silk itself.

Was it because of this in the PR title:

KRAIG BIOCRAFT LABORATORIES SHARES INDUSTRY UPDATE ON RECOMBINANT SPIDER SILK FROM WASTE PLASTICS

Or this from the first line:

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB: KBLB) (“Kraig Labs” or “the Company”), comments on an exciting advancement in spider silk engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (“RPI”).

Or this:

...a new and novel method of creating spider silk protein from waste plastics.

Or this:

...it shows the potential for this process to create spider silk-like proteins from partially decomposed plastics.

Or the 10 other times it was mentioned? Are you sure you know what "pivoting away from" means? SMH

Not one mention of Vietnam

Well, it did say, " The Company’s CEO and its leading sericulture expert are currently in Southeast Asia," so at least we know he's still there. Not sure if Kim being personally involved is a good thing or not. Hopefully the fact that he decided to PR the progress made by a potential competitor shows a sense of urgency that he hasn't had before. Sell some silk Kim!

On the upside this could be fantastic news for the environment.

It’s a strange PR. Nothing to do with KBLB. There are many scientific reports along the same lines that KBLB has not chosen to PR. So why this?

“No news, but we gotta keep putting out something…” must be the mentality at KBLB HQ right now. Hopefully they are busy putting the last bells and whistles on the 10-K due Monday.

Tick-tock.

I wonder if they learn about things on their own or if they learn from this iHub Board. We post more information about spidersilk, proteins, KBLB, mulberry leaves, and others in the space, than anybody else and have become fairly knowledgeable and alert to developments. There have been some damn good ideas incubated on this Board and a lot of good researching finds over the years.
