Perhaps I chose the photo unfairly. Some of the choices are less exotic than Charred Cabbage with Pecan Dukkah and Chile-Lime Butter. But seriously: who has a green salad "rotation"?? Green salads are accompaniments to meals, if one bothers at all. Are we really on our way back to the '50s? Will Mom soon quit her job to dedicate herself to turning out a special salad every evening, perhaps to follow a deft hors d'oeuvre, a satisfying but not too caloric main course and veg, and to precede a visually appealing dessert?
