It's laundry instructions I don't understand. By that I mean those mysterious runes on your clothes telling you what you should and shouldn't do. Like a pyramid with a line through it. WTF???

My washer and dryer are Maytags with rotary dials. Spin the dial and push start. I subscribe to Consumer Reports and look up the life expectancy of appliances. It's easier for me to jump in my pickup and go get another than to try and find someone who can fix it while the laundry piles up.

The dishwasher had me stumped since it gave me an error code of F8E4 and the manual said call a repairman. When I looked it up online it said the drip tray had water in it. Took me 10 minutes to fix it and now I learned don't open the door once I started it.
