Mt Baker is the only ski place i ever got to in your country. Something over 2 hours from Burnaby (outside of Vancouver). It's the place i broke my femur about 65 years ago. Have mentioned it a few times, but just discovered, seems i never said it was at Mt Baker. Funny how you can picture some incidences even after all those years. I can picture the snow-laden trees and the narrow path in wettish snow. Caught the tip of the right ski, the left kept going, body twisted and fell, will never forget hearing the crack. Knew it was broken. About an hour or so later ski patrol people arrived with LOL a Maccas hamburger and a cup of coffee. Straightening the right leg which was bent back was one of the most painful things i remember. Pumped me full of drugs so the trip back on the school bus was just easy.
