well Naked shorts mean there are no shares to support claims, once they are washed out, its no issue anymore. they are useless on the way up if no one gets scared.

There are many traders/HFs who are short FNMA and long FMCC. They expect the gap, which is currently 19 cents, to narrow to the historical price differential of 1 to 2 cents. These traders are not covering shorts because it doesn't hurt them if both go up (or both go down). They are not evil minded either. It's just a kind of risk free trade.

No that's just relative to volume. Short Interest tells the sentiment of the investors. Short Interest is open (not covered) shorts based on the amount of outstanding shares. If one is 0.30% Short Interest that means that people are covering their shorts bc they are not bearish and short volume for a stock with 5.89 B shares with just even 6-7 figures is not a high amount shorts on the day. The past month all these short volume / volume stats are actually some of the lowest possible short interest %. 20.00% is considered a bearish short interest. $SATS is 75.5% short interest, that's incredibly bearish.

Just trying to clear that up. No one is shorting this. There is no short suppression here. At all.
