#20425 RE: Jason in Denver #20423

Thanks for joining the forum and contributing your history as a shareholder. If anyone has a right to be bummed out, it's you.

As far as I know, nobody who posts here has any "real information" if that means insider information. The most we know is what is available by shaking Google-search until it coughs up little bits and pieces of info that are 'hiding in plain sight,' like state filings and the status of a few lawsuit, plus a Denver Post article and the unfulfilled promise of a new restaurant venture.

Does your ihub username mean you live in Denver? If so, can you visit the two sites that are supposed to become Takiza Taco & Tequila Bars:

1519 Wynkoop St (LoDo area, site of a former Margs Taco Bistro)
652 S Colorado Blvd (Currently the CitiSet/Glendale Illegal Burger, but listed on www.takiza.com as a future site)

In late 2022 Nixon told the Denver Post that he was opening up the place on Wynkoop St, and even got an H&R license from the LODO good neighborhood committee, but nothing more has happened, yet. (For a brief while, Nixon actually had a menu with pictures and a couple of other sub-pages on www.takiza.com, but he pulled them in favor of the current placeholder page.)

The most significant state filing is the one for Nixon Restaurant Group in Florida:
https://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/CorporationSearch/SearchResultDetail?inquirytype=EntityName&directionType=Initial&searchNameOrder=NIXONRESTAURANTGROUP%20P150000841150&aggregateId=domp-p15000084115-b9e0da33-7c5b-480a-a81d-8ff90b1401f3&searchTerm=nixon%20restaurant&listNameOrder=NIXONRESTAURANTGROUP%20P150000841150

That is the only one of three Florida corporations that has been kept current (West Coast Ventures Group Corp was moved to Florida and allowed to be administratively dissolved, and Illegal Pizza Lauderhill LLC is also administratively dissolved, although Nixon has kept foreign corporation filings for both companies current in Colorado).

In 2023 Nixon re-hired Brenda Hamilton (via her company Hamilton and Associates Law Group PA) to be the agent for Nixon Restaurant Group in Florida. She is a hot-shot going-public/securities lawyer. Although neither she nor Nixon are saying anything about why she was re-hired, Nixon did his reverse mergers with WCVC shortly after Hamilton spent a year with him as his agent for NRG.

As of last November, Nixon began to update his Facebook pages for Illegal Burger and Kalaka Mexican Kitchen every few days (between 1-3 days), instead of a few times a month, which is some indication that those restaurants are alive and well, or at least that he is beating the drums for them.

A couple of months ago saw the termination of a Trademark opposition brought by Ilegal Mezcal against Illegal Brands IP over a graphic logo representation of the name "Illegal Brands." That began in late 2020, right around the time Nixon stopped filing with Edgar. For 2-plus years they were allegedly in settlement negotiations, but no details have been made public, and we don't even know if a deal was reached, or whether Ilegal Mezcal (now fully owned by Bacardi) simply walked away. The only evidence that something might be up with that is that Nixon took www.illegalbrands.com off the air. A few months before the trademark case terminated, Nixon took his link to Illegal Brands off the front-page of the Illegal Burger website.

As you may know, Nixon also shut down Illegal Pizza in Lauderhill, FL (and as mentioned, he let the FL corporation get administratively dissolved). He shut down the website for that, and also took the link off the Illegal Burger website. There was, however, a landlord lawsuit brought against Nixon and the previous renter in early 2023 that seems to have been terminated, but that isn't officially closed.

In late 2022 he bought a Mexican restaurant called El Cazo [something] and renamed it El Cao Mexican Kitchen, and even had a website for it, but that got shut down in early 2023, and the website was removed.

Nixon keeps some of his Colorado state corporations filings current. This month he filed to keep his Illegal Burger Franchising LLC current. He also has two webpages for that that are on the air:
https://www.illegalburger.com/franchising/
https://franchise.illegalburger.com/ (this one is linked to on the main illegalburger.com site)

Mysteriously, last year he created Casa Saulsbury LLC, and in 2020 he created Nixon Restaurant Corp in CO (different name than Nixon Restaurant Group).

Thanks in advance if you can visit those future Takiza Taco sites.

-- edit --
One more thing, Nixon seems to have given up:
www.westcoastventuresgroupcorp.com

For a while it was redirecting to a site hawking an on-line gambling outfit out of somewhere in Asia, and it still redirects:
https://www.whatsmydns.net/redirect-checker?q=www.westcoastventuresgroupcorp.com

but at the moment the last URL in the chain of 3 times out, whereas a while ago it too was hawking that gambling outfit.

I agree. There's no way this sleazy character has all the restaurants open and the shareholders robbed. So if one day someone starts a class action lawsuit, I'm definitely going to join. As I've always written, Nixon is a thief, and just because the SEC hasn't indicted him doesn't mean he's not. In fact, his activities work. Shareholders long used as ATMs. He has never answered emails or phone calls. He disappeared into thin air. Thieves operate in this way

One more thing if you live in Denver -- can you verify that any of the restaurants on his two websites (Illegal Burger and Kalaka) are either open or closed? We'd at least know if he's lying or telling the truth about them.
