In Q3, Amarin reported a net loss of $19.3 million or a loss of $0.05 per share. I suspect 4th quarter earnings will still be negative and cash flow will be near 0.
Is it possible with $6 to $8 million in revenue growth and continued cost discipline, the above statement from the press release is credible?
I feel like this is the first feel-good trading day for Amarin in years. I'm trying to remain sober about the near-term expectations I have, though. For instance, I noticed that the release touts $7 million to $8 million in income from RoW "including supply shipments and milestone achievement." I'm guessing that breaks down to a $5 million payout for approval in China and another million or two in "supply shipments." The rest is probably Canadian sales? So that shouldn't give the false impression that things are taking off around the world. It'll probably be a drip of income for this year.
What we have to hope is that the $1.5 million in European sales in the fourth quarter becomes $4 million to $5 million a quarter by yearend.
