Try reading the press release again and you'll see that the fire test was described as "a key step towards pilot production" of the NEXBOARD 4’X8’ construction panels. NFPA 286 Certification requires the lab to not only "evaluate the fire safety performance related to flame spread, smoke production and heat release" but to "verify and document the sourcing of materials, the composition of the panels, and the manufacturing methodology." In other words, now that a certification lab has successfully fire-tested the pre-production samples, XERI will proceed to create full-size NEXBOARDS -- via a pilot production facility -- and the entire process of sourcing, producing and testing the panels will be followed from start to finish.
