SHMP has yet to invent a commercially viable RAS system for farming white leg shrimp. I believe they are very close and the possibility the missing element could be discovered at any time… or never. The key isn’t water quality and feed. I believe those bases are covered. The key is stress free happy hungry thriving shrimp when in a high density environment.
At a certain size and length of time the high density stocked shrimp hit a growth wall. It isn’t feed or water quality. It is a natural reaction by the species when stressed to stop growing. Over crowding stresses the shrimp and their growth is slowed. It just takes too long to be commercially viable.
