I decided to check the plants that I cut back ...and sure enuff they're putting on new growth!

I was able to lift one so I put it in the garden area where it will be protected from the deer. It's sunny and very warm here so it should thrive outdoors. I can always put it back if it gets cold again.

When Hubby comes home I'm going to get him to haul the rest of the plants out for me.
