My short answer is yes I will wait until the price action crosses above the 200ma before I enter TZA.

However, IF the 9ma and the 20ema have both unmistakably turned up, the 9ma is above the 20ema, and the PPO has also unmistakably turned up, THEN I may take a risker entry opportunity and buy before it actually crosses above the 200ma.

Now for a very high risk ETF like BOIL, I will absolutely wait for the price action to get above the 200ma before I enter.

BOIL today printed a full candle stick above the 9ma, the PPO crossed upward and printed a green histogram bar above the 0.0, BUT all this occurred below the 200ma.

I did not enter BOIL today.

KOLD below is an example of me acting before the price action was above the 200ma. I convinced myself it was on a trajectory to do so, so I took the risk and acted early. If momentum had not caried the price action above the 200ma, I would have got out for a small loss when a candlestick closed below the 9ma. This didn't happen.

On 6 Nov a full candlestick printed above the 9ma, and a green histogram bar printed on the PPO above the 0.0. All this was below the 200ma. However, both the 9ma and the 20ema were turning up, and the 200ma had been on a positive slope for months, so I took a higher risk and entered a bit early.
