That is exactly right, and many articles have discussed how GBM is heterogeneous, not just from person to person but stage of the disease, rGBM vs nGBM, and even across a single tumor and across multiple tumors.
But sometimes, when there is not a lot of hope, a doctor who has been working in the field is likely not to be above inventing the wheel again.
I certainly wish the doctor well. But the notion that it is some reflection on DCVax-L that he has not sought a yet to be approved treatment never trialed in Australia is really not particularly compelling.
