The SOM figures represent the 4x200G PIC chips for 800G and 1.6T pluggable transceivers.
If the May deal was with Polariton, it would not be accounted for in those projections since Polariton is not currently making modulator PIC chips that go inside pluggable transceivers.
KCC, EXACTLY!!! and teddy bear has been working his deceptions hard trying to get everyone to believe it's Polarition, we've discussed this before, what facts we do know about the 1st deal surrounding its negotiations would actually suggest it's more likely NOT Polariton
The May deal was not fake or used to placate shareholders.
It took months to negotiate and supposedly a lot of time was spent negotiating making sure it was priced right and can be used as a template for future licensing opportunities. This isn’t hearsay, this is commentary from someone who had a discussion with Lebby about it in person recently. And no, not at the PECC conference.
It’s probably safe to assume the deal was executed around the time the end user finalized their own designs that necessitated the material, and the time that has passed since May was waiting on delivery of the wafers with said designs.
In October the material was delivered. Now, it needs to be processed with wafers/die, manufactured, packaged, sold, and shipped. It takes time.
So Dan51...you need reassurance? For what? To buy, sell, or hold? This is a sincere question. You need reassurance? If not given, what will you do? If given, will you feel better?
From what I've emailed Lebby and what I've seen others email Lebby...he is 100% aware of all general complaints we share.
Immediately following the "cadence of likely catalysts" quote in the December 2022 letter, it says "first and foremost, we expect to see our first licensing agreement".
They accomplished that along with the performance demonstrations that they promised.
I'm not sure what follow-up you or anyone else is/was expecting from the May deal. Sales are the follow up and you'll start seeing that in 2024 SEC filings now that the material has been delivered to the end user.
The company is commercializing its technology and it will ramp in 2024. Pretty plain and simple at this point. When or how or what kind of information will be released via PR is anyone's guess.
Now...I do agree that 2023 was not nearly as glorious in terms of share price appreciation as I hoped in the beginning of the year. Lots of small tech companies have been brutalized though.
