They are not criticizing Trump. They are criticizing the NYT. In doing so not only are they misrepresenting the article but they themselves are broadcasting the message they claim to disagree with.

I don't either. Looks as if Trumpty may be caught trying to satisfy two factions of his own party. The results could be comical, and for him, enraging.
