That does not fly.
What we know is that LP is selling off rights to some amount of a specific future cash payment. And she is doing so to multiple investors.
There is no way in hell any investor would buy rights from LP into a deal between LP and BP. Think about it a bit. Why would you ever bet somebody in an event they control? And that is what these are, bets.
It has to be some event not under LPs control. The only one I could imagine is spoofing case. In theory some stock derivative play, that gets really messy really fast.
