Lebby’s - as well as all previous CEOs - problem is that he doesn’t understand that part of his job as CEO is to message the market and shareholders in a way that appropriately manages expectations. Managing expectations helps eliminate wild swings in the pps, prices the stock accordingly, and keeps discontent/shorting to a minimum.
We have the heated disputes on this board precisely because Lebby - and all prior CEOs - has failed miserably at messaging and managing expectations.
Nonsense language like “we are positioned to become ubiquitous” helps no one, is hyperbolic, and shows a real lack of sophistication on the part of management.
Brilliant scientists - No argument. Infantile when it comes to running a publicly traded company - undeniably.
