Wrong.

So the transceiver work Lebby told us about that was initiated in 2022 was just a phone call? That company doesn’t have test modulators for initial prototypes after a likely 12+ months of some sort of collaboration together? Yea ok.

Also, there’s multiple governing bodies that publish various optics equipment reliability testing standards so some actually know precisely what tests are being done.

Tying validation to an investor having a 5% stake is absolutely insane.

The current positioning of the technology is perfect and LWLG stated sometime in 2024 they’ll have 7,000 EOP based 800G transceivers and 900 1.6T transceivers rolling out. Now, those are estimates and we’ll see what the real figures are next year. But the company must be far enough along with their development to say that they’ll have their initial deployments in 2024.

My invisible friend didn’t express any doubts LWLG will get their tech inside transceivers. His only question (which we all share - the billion $ question)…is how many will LWLG sell, how profitable will it be, and what market share will they capture? He also said the timing is great over the next few years as the industry moves to 200G per lane.
