The anesthesiologist (I've been trying to find that word for a week or so, much easier in French), prescribed Nicopatch 21mg/24h to start before the operation and after. So I got it yesterday, put on a patch.

I woke up at 4am, wide awake, pointless to try sleeping anymore.

So I figure it has to be the patch, my biggest problem is that I haven't slept properly since December, but at least I can attempt to get some sleep.

So I look at the insert which says 'In the event of problems sleeping, double the dose'

Further on it says under the heading of Side Effects, the first one on the list is INSOMNIA. Fuck, that is all I need.

Then I find this little table to fill out. I'm at 4/10 meaning I'm not really addicted to nicotine....

The anesthesiologist didn't inspire a lot of confidence either. I had an appointment, he comes out of his office and says "M. Roombell". So I get up and go into his office.

I haven't said a word and he asks me in terrible English "do you only speak English?"

Why the hell would he assume that? I felt like saying no, I espek 10 lenguagis, inglesh da bes.

But I didn't want to antagonize him, after all, he's gonna put me to sleep, regulating the dose....
