Yeah it is beautiful there (we live about 20 miles northeast of Malibu and visit it a lot) but anytime we get rain all the cliffs and hills start to lose conformity. And it there are houses on them? Not good.
They can handle earthquakes but not rain.....which makes no sense but it is just how things are built here.
Florida would be the exact opposite. You guys handle TS and Hurricanes like a champ but an earthquake would be mass hysteria. Although I did watch that live video last year who put the Go Pro on that pole in Fort Myers and it showed how the streets kept getting more and more flooded until the water was 15 feet high and the camera was underwater. Crazy.
