This is from my perspective and kind of the way I viewed the recent process.
I've sort of found a lot of parallels between participating on a stock social media site similar to watching a championship sporting event in a public space or at a social event. People who are choosing a team to support or not, people who just love/hate the game, the players, the teams, the coaching staff, the league, etc. Some are going to have different levels of passion or apathy for all of these things. They are going to likely find common ground with some people and be annoyed by others. But, it is a social setting so some behavior decorum or modifications are needed for it to be socially acceptable and acceptable to the venue.
My take was that what we first published might've been similar to a tied game, with 3 minutes left and a full day of adrenaline and drinking behind many of the attendees. That was worrisome to me.
What I am hopeful we've come up with is kind of guidelines for participating and moderating at the beginning of the game. All of those factors are still in play but attendees behavior is very different. We were trying to scale it back, tone it down.
We don't want a free for all where a riot is likely to ensue. We do want people to be able to participate within societal norms without feeling they have to dot every i and cross every t, if you know what I mean.
So, I guess, that's where I see the feedback guided and directed my thought process and my input throughout this.
I know that's not super clear but just trying to answer your question as best I know how. :)
