Thx NQ, It was a good read. That was one of the better explanations of why BOIL and others, have a decay. Every time I figure it out, I usually come out with 10% decay per month. less if consistant gains.
Sideways action is always a killer. Now to be fair, 10% decay doesnt mean much if you gain 100%

That chart on El Nino is a bit scary. August could get really toasty here in Central Texas.

My plan is to play the swings on daily or quicker TFs and stay away from more macro type plays.
Author makes a good point on the futures contango situation coming up. i think I know now why there isnt a 3X NG ETF.

It would appear that a really good strategy would be to short equal amounts of BOIL and KOLD and just sit on them. For IB they charge 2.82% shorting fee so that could cut down on the gain a bit.
