GFP: The current craze over "AI" related stocks is overblown as well in my opinion. Because AI investors might do well and AI companies might do well....but if AI displaces millions of jobs there are going to be far fewer customers around to buy goods and services. 40% of America lives paycheck to paycheck already. Food banks report record numbers of people looking to obtain food after inflation has wrecked havoc on their finances. Retail theft is at levels never before seen. Homelessness and severe debilitating drug use is getting worse. Look at the reports of the animal tranquilzer with the street name "Tranq" (xylazine). Philadelphia and California are the worst hit areas so far. The drug isn't even a controlled substance yet. It is vasoconstrictive, and it's users are losing limbs, seeing parts of their bodies atrophy...and they keep on using it. I'm 66 years old. I've never seen such signs and symptoms of despair as I'm seeing now. Hard times produce strong men. Strong men produce good times. Good times produce weak men. And weak men produce hard times. And the cycle continues. Where do you think we are on the continuum?
