Once again, Disney defines Florida as the go to state for families on vacation, and ever since it was built it has become the place for families to go for vacation. It is also Disney, and this is another company that has had to evolve over the decades to remain fresh and unique for all of those who visit that park.
I have been to Disney a few times, I think everyone should go to Disney at least once, it is expensive, and for me I prefer my mountains and lake, but a family vacation with small children, it is a must.
As for DeSantis is just a Governor, that comes, and goes, but Disney is always there. I always marveled on how well the park was planned out. It is why Walt Disney started that park in Florida in the first place. The one in California is surrounded by a hodgepodge of tourist shops all around it.
Walt Disney wanted to control that aspect of the business, which is why they negotiated with the state in the first place. The design works for Disney, it attracts millions of people, it was designed to do that, and it needs to be upgraded all of the time, to stay fresh, and viable to continue that Disney experience. Now DeSantis wants to fuck it all up, just because he thinks he can, he does not realize how much of a task it is to keep fixing that park. DeSantis like many in power, always think a political slogan is easy to implement. Disney is an institution., you just do not disrupt millions of visitors because you want to take a political stance. What was really enjoyable from this experience, was watching Bob Iger come back into Disney. DeSantis thought he had an ally, instead he learned that there was a reason Bob Iger was good at his job, he does his job. He demonstrated to DeSantis that if you want to play with Mickey Mouse, then you better bring your "A," game, DeSantis learned the hard way, and now he is back to pouting because he did not get his own way.
