Whenever I am fortunate enough to be in a stock that nearly quadruples in price from one day to the next (as I was with AVXL in early February 2021), regardless of whether or not I think news may be on the way, I always sell at least 50% of my position (I sold 60% of my AVXL position on the morning of that spike)...especially when I am invested in a speculative type of stock (which AVXL surely was back in early February 2021)!

Any serious biotech investor will know what news might be expected and when. Outside that I gotta take profit when the opportunity presents itself - always no exception!
FOMO makes people less rich, not more! Understanding what you are doing also helps. But hey what do I know what people want to do with their own money.
