Sleven I totally agree with your thoughts and sentiments here. But this is what I don't understand.
Assuming the SC takes the case and assuming it rules for GSK. It seems to me that after pissing away 31 trillion dollars over many years the government now wants to save money. If they wanted then to change the law wouldn't they just make it more tilted in favor of the Generics? Of course if the SC rules in favor of Teva I don't hear much from gov't officials wanting to correct that. The SC doesn't make legislation. I haven't heard a great outcry from gov't officials against what is happening. If anything the solicitor general seems to want it the other way.
