Manure to Produce Ethanol
A United Nations report has identified the world's growing herds of cattle as the greatest threat to the climate, forests and wildlife. The report states that livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gasses that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.
Diversified Ethanol along with its business partner, BioPower Technologies stand ready to assist the dairy and hog industry. With the installation of a digester to produce biogas and generate electricity, the electricity powers the farm and the A500 modular ethanol plant. The corn used to produce ethanol makes a high-protein, wet cake distillers grain to be fed to the cattle and the ethanol is sold to a local wholesaler. Full circle! Take a look at the projected proforma for the A500 ethanol plant.
