Thanks Doc, you're right, I probably didn't figure where we'd have been if it hadn't been for the spoofing properly. A $5 share price being anticipated near term would certainly justify a far greater award, and probably a far bigger penalty if they wanted to send a message to the MM's.
Frankly I've seen many suits where the penalty awarded was a substantial multiple of the initial judgement. It will be interesting to watch all the legal moves that occur prior to this coming to trial if it doesn't settle. I suspect that the MM's profits will work in NWBO's favor when it comes to properly valuing the suit, and awarding a penalty that really sends them a message. I don't think we'll be looking at triple digit billions, but into double digits is very possible.
I don't know if the jury breaks down how much is owed by each MM, or just how it's broken down, but in the end all that matters to NWBO is what they see from the suit, that should be substantial. The judgement may be subject to time delaying appeals, but I believe such appeals can add to the award, so there's no telling if they'll pay immediately, or delay by appealing, and risk a greater loss.
