My guess is no! Nightfood attended last year with no return on that investment. Rumor has it he spent that money on New York Rangers season tickets this year!
A round-a-bout, doublespeak, ambiguous, evasive answer by Sean...is no, we're not gonna attend AAHOA in April.
It's plain and simple...a lousy decision... but, imo, the most likely reason being, no capital at all for our $NGTF CEO to work with.
Sean Folkson, [2/27/2023 10:08 PM] We may be represented there by ideal. Not sure
Need to see.
Also there’s been quite a bit of drama between the AAHOA and some of the chain giants (you can Google to see what’s going on with them and both Choice and Marriott)
The individual hotel owners don’t seem inspired to make the move healthier.
so not sure it’s worth marketing to them one at a time like that
And, in fact, id argue that the hotels leaving these decisions to the individual owners is how we ended up in a sea of twizzlers and skittles and Cheetos.
Fortunately the brands are waking up to the fact that it’s an awful look for them to have nothing but junk in their shops
That’s why they’re seeking healthier options and why we think the tipping point is so much closer than 6 or 9 months ago
Sean Folkson, [2/27/2023 10:57 PM] To add to my last post, I think there will be a point not too far off where attending trade shows will make more sense and justify an investment. And it may not be too far off. But if it’s going to require an investment I would want a couple of distribution and partnership pieces to fall into place first before doing that
