Lobbyists do much more than schmooze they play a big role in influencing legislation. They often play a roll in supplying content and negotiating the details of bills, and can even push for presidential vetoes. Washington finally has a HUGE focus on critical minerals, and in addition to FINALLY providing funding to create a domestic critical mineral supply chain, they will also pass legislation to prop up the supply chain when it’s established. These bills will need bipartisan support and that bipartisan support will likely come in the form of multiple lobbyists.
I’m agree with you that the company is well beyond the schmoozing stage.
