IF the industry actually is planning major changes within the next year or so and those hinge on using Lightwave's technology, would you expect Lightwave to be an active member of the OIF involved in setting up standards?
I do not look for "major changes within the next year' regarding Lightwave's technology or any other photonic solution so the issue is moot for me. Yes, photonics will be used in esoteric applications but that will be a small fraction of the semiconductor TAM and far from "ubiquitous" as has been touted.

They have been "effecting forward change" for 25 years and still are not much closer than at the beginning. It is far too soon to try to set standards.
