Yes, I believe that is the case as well Gary. I expect any trial sponsored by big pharma, will have some technical person or doctor who is an employee coordinating communications and ensuring it gets published. It does not mean that they influenced the trial results or made the document less credible. It is possible, but not with institutions like UCLA, Kings College, Brown University, UNC, Columbia University, etc., participating and co-authoring.
That’s why you like to see 1) lots of eminent researchers and research institutions involved in a study, and 2) lots of authors from those centers and eminent doctors as authors of the article in a major, peer reviewed medical journal.
