Depends, on whether or not that was the intention rather than avoidance of the backward looking polices, junk economics and anti-intellectualism of the Republican Party. None of which is really good for the economy.

Can't discount that over the decades much of the money came to Dems from companies that were 'woke' before their time.

B402. Stature brings influence too. Or blackmail. Just saying influence comes with other things than money, too. More depends to add to the first you got, lobbying as much as not could be for policy you agree with. You, i mean. Then there obviously would be the case not nearly all lobbyists get what they ask for. Ask a lobbyist how successful they are in all they seek. And so much money involved on both sides of any race, eh. So half of that money loses. Nice try, maybe even zero influence gained. The money on the winner may get some influence. More or less.

In a statement, Mr Giustra's lawyers said he had "started this action because he wanted to hold Twitter accountable in circumstances where it knew about defamatory, hateful and threatening tweets made on its platform by anonymous users but refused to remove them".

In court, Mr Giustra claimed he had been targeted in these posts for "political purposes". According to the bizarre pizzagate theory popularised during the 2016 US presidential election, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton - then the Democratic presidential candidate and her inner circle - were running a secret sex ring out of the DC pizza restaurant.
Mr Giustra contended that he had been linked to the conspiracy in relation to his support for the Clintons' charitable foundation.
