For crying out loud, they’re only human! Scanning a million pages one at a time takes time.

If you lined up each page one after another, the pages would stretch from Earth to Jupiter and back!

The question is when? They are slow as molasses.

If she was unconsciously using scanning at 13,000 - 15,000 per day rate as a potential clue, and you always take the slower of any range window given, then you select 13,000 pages per day from early December, the scanning should be complete 500,000 / 13,000 (Aka 38 days from early December) from early December. We are already past that point.

If you partially take the Rhode Island presentation as an update on scanning progress. 3/4 (375,000) were only completed by January 6. That’s about 12,500 per day with 125,000 to go (Aka 10 days). Right about now.

That’s only if you use the sketchy notion that scanning speed could be used as a countdown tool. Which seems implausible in and of itself.
